A Dior for Las Vegas

Fashion house opens new boutique in the Bellagio

Christian Dior SA (Paris) has opened a new flagship boutique at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, marking the international fashion house's 14th location in the United States.

The 4300-square-foot boutique, designed by Dior's in-house architectural team, was inspired by the modern and dynamic design philosophy of the house and will carry the latest collections of women's ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes and accessories designed by John Galliano and the collection of fine jewelry designed by Victoire de Castellane.

Traditional design elements of Dior's worldwide flagship at Avenue Montaigne in Paris are combined with contemporary materials and finishes. The rotunda is a replica of the company's Paris store. Classically inspired moldings are mixed with white, high-gloss lacquered shelving and hand woven carpets in houndstooth and zebra print compliment the polished limestone floors. The furniture juxtaposes the modern with the classic, as Louis XVI chairs are streamlined and placed next to polished nickel case lines. Shades of opalescent gray and white accent the space.
