Works of art by the ten winning students from the Bologna Fine Arts Academy took center stage at the Evanescence exhibit inaugurated end of May at Milan’s Bottega Immagine. The exhibit takes its name from the precious Evanescence Collection mannequins made by the Alain Leporati – King Manichini company based in Carpi, Modena – Italy. Students had full freedom to transform these mannequins using an array of mediums and techniques for their creations. In support of their professional future, Alain Leporati further awarded their talent with this exhibition exclusively dedicated to them. The vernissage was attended by prominent figures from the fashion sector and art world.

The exhibit is part of a larger, ongoing initiative called the “Evanescence Project”, an extra-sensorial journey which began in 2017 and continues over time. A one of a kind initiative which involves and supports top art academies with their young talents, created by Alain Leporati King Manichini, curated by Luca Panaro – professor, art critic and curator – with the intent to involve top art academies and their students from various specializations.

“From the establishment of my company in 1989” mentions Alain Leporati, “I have always strived to instill artistic quality and superior design in my collections. These elements, together with a concentration on quality and research for our products, have been essential to the growth of our brand in Italy and abroad.” “It is for this reason,” continues Leporati, “that I wished to convey this passion for art by creating the Evanescence Project”.
