Alex Apparel Acquires SL Fashions

Alex Apparel Group (New York), which supplies social occasion dresses and separates for Macy’s, Dillards, Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom, has acquired SL Fashions (New York).

“Our two companies and cultures are very compatible and the addition of SL to the Alex family of brands will allow us to rapidly scale our businesses and develop new markets across the entire value-priced segment of social occasion eveningwear,” said Colleen Kelly, Alex Apparel ceo, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Alex Apparel Group is one of the top three resources for classic social occasion dresses. SL Fashions ranks among the top three resources in department stores for moderate-priced day and social occasion dresses with clients such as Steinmart and David’s Bridal.
