Barneys New York (New York) has completed the renovation of its 55,000-square-foot flagship in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood and, with it, has introduced a number of digital elements to enhance customer experience.

It has launched iBeacon technology through its mobile app, which allows in-store customers to sign up and have customized content, such as videos, look books and designer interviews, sent directly to their mobile devices as they shop, reports a press release.

It has also built a custom clienteleing system that connects customer’s online and offline behaviors and preferences in a way that allows sales associates to provide customers with a more personalized and targeting shopping experience as they interact with sales associates.

Barneys COO Daniella Vitale said, The customer experience in this store runs parallel in importance to the design, product and historic location.”
