Bebe stores Inc. (Brisbane, Calif.) announced that Ferrell Ostrow has been appointed vp, store operations. Ostrow has been acting vp, store operations since February, and has served as the vp, loss prevention since March 1999.

“Ferrell has helped bebe to achieve the highest level of loss prevention and set a new standard in the retail industry,” says Manny Mashouf, bebe's chairman and ceo. “I now look forward to his leadership in achieving similar standards in bebe store's retail operations.”

Bebe designs, develops and produces a distinctive line of contemporary women's apparel and accessories, which it markets under the bebe, bbsp, and bebe moda brands. Bebe operates 177 stores in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
