Bergdorf Goodman (New York) is set to open its renovated main floor to the public on Sept. 6.
The renovation is part of a 5-year plan to modernize and reimagine its women’s store, reports Forbes. The new interior design was inspired by the store’s Beaux Arts exterior and the Art Moderne movement in France in the 1930s.
As part of the renovation, a large window was added to the 58th Street entrance. The floors were switched from wood to stone. New light fixtures, such as Louis XV-style chandeliers, were added to the Grand Hall and jewelry salon.
