Retailer names new coo, in charge of real estate and construction, makes other management changes

Chico's FAS Inc. (For Myers, Fla.) has promoted current cfo Charles Kleman to chief operating officer, in charge of the company's logistics, real estate, construction and information technology operations, and made several other management changes.

In addition to Kleman, Michael Kincaid was named vp, finance, and chief accounting officer; James West was named senior vp, real estate; Brett Robinson was named vp, real estate; and Bari Horton was named vp, direct marketing.

“These key promotions demonstrate our continued satisfaction with the overall development and strength of our management team,” said president and ceo Scott Edmonds.

Kleman joined Chico's in 1989 as controller and has held a number of senior management positions including cfo, secretary/treasurer, senior vp – finance and executive vp – finance.
