Chico’s FAS Inc. (Fort Myers, Fla.) has reported a 40 percent gain in sales for the five-week period ended July 2, 2005. Same-store sales increased 18.8 percent.

For the 22 weeks ended July 2, total sales increased 30.6 percent and same-store sales increased 13.1 percent.
