Retail Technologies Intl. names business manager; Tommy Bahama opens new store

Management Changes:

Ambrosi (Chicago marketing services agency) has named Craig Olson vp, director of account services, for its Chicago office. Olson will be responsible for directing account teams in servicing clients. He most recently served as vp, account director at Publicis Mid-America.

Retail Technologies Intl. (Folsom, Calif., retail management software developer) has hired Soren Hebsgaard as business manager for the Europe, Africa and Middle East regions. Hebsgaard will be responsible for servicing and supporting the company's business partner network and its customers in those regions.

Tommy Bahama (New York upscale casual sportswear retailer) is opening a 3710-square-foot store in Manhattan Village Shopping Center, Manhattan Beach, Calif. The space includes a retail shop and Tommy Bahama's Tropical Cafe.

Business Briefs:

FFr (Cleveland stock and custom merchandising solutions manufacturer) has added Midwest Fixture Group Inc. (Minneapolis) to its company lineup, bringing additional expertise in development, manufacturing, fulfillment and distribution of custom retail fixtures and merchandising displays.

MDI (Farmington Hills, Mich., visual communication products and signage designer and manufacturer) won a 2003 Buyers Choice Award for best new product for its PosterGrip Light Panel at the Exhibitor Show, held in Las Vegas.
