ShopKo Stores Inc. (Green Bay, Wis., retailer) has promoted Larry Gentry to senior vp, store operations, for the company's 140-store ShopKo division.

ETC Architectural (Middleton, Wis., architectural lighting firm) has appointed Karl Haas western regional manager for architectural sales.

DAVACO Inc. (Dallas provider of retail services and solutions) has hired Jim Shute as director, national accounts.

nParallel (Minneapolis brand communication, merchandising strategy and display company) has hired Thomas McMillen as senior 3-D designer.

LPK (Libby Perszyk Kathman Inc., Cincinnati brand identity agency) has hired Vivienne Heering to direct brand strategy in Western Europe.

Paul Frank Industries (Costa Mesa, Calif., apparel and furnishings design house) has opened its 14th retail store, at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas.

ADFLOW Networks (Burlington, Ont., digital signage firm) announced it has installed its Dynamic Messaging System to power large-format digital displays at The Nuance Group's Tax & Duty Free Shops at Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

Way-Light® (Laguna Niguel, Calif., commercial and residential lighting firm) has acquired exclusive North American distribution rights to the decorative lighting line manufactured by American Neons of Muenster, Germany.

Rose Display Ltd. (Salem, Mass., developer of retail signware) has introduced Signs of Commitment, a program to help members of its reseller network build their businesses by offering a complete package to customers while participating in Rose's discount program.

Gammapar LLC (Forest, Va., flooring products firm) announced its products have been certified to carry the Forest Stewardship Council logo, which signifies they originated from well-managed forests.

JGA Inc. (Southfield, Mich., design firm) won a gold medal award from Gifts & Decorative Accessories magazine for its design of the Mikasa store in Schaumburg, Ill.

Momentum Group (Raleigh, N.C., facilities consulting group) announced that president Terry Espy has been recognized as one of the Triangle area's top businesswomen by the Triangle Business Journal.

VMA (Dayton, Ohio, digital, graphic and industrial design firm) won Awards of Excellence in communications in the 2004 American Graphic Design Awards for MeadWestvaco Corp.'s Meadware digital papers and VMA's strategy-driven design self-promotional brochure.
