Management Changes:

Birchwood Lighting Inc. (Santa Ana, Calif., lighting systems manufacturer) has hired Steve Koch as director of account development.

Chris Fischer Productions Inc. (Phoenix store fixture manufacturer) has added Matt Fellows as general manager. Fellows has 22 years experience in the industry, including with Proco Wood Products.

Hubbell Inc. (Orange, Conn., electrical and electronic products manufacturer) has appointed Scott Muse group vp — Hubbell Lighting Inc., the company's core business platform for lighting fixture manufacturing. He was also elected an officer of the corporation by the board of directors. Muse, who joined the company in April 2002, is responsible for the overall operations of Hubbell Lighting.

Store Openings/Contracts:

Ameriban (Tulsa, Okla., vinyl and banner sign supplier) and CLEAR FOCUS (Santa Rosa, Calif., graphics materials manufacturer) have entered into a distribution agreement for Ameriban to carry a wide range of CLEAR FOCUS perforated vinyl films.

Business Briefs:

DMX Music (Los Angeles digital music programming supplier) has launched a “New Year, New Hear” promotion designed to build brand awareness through a distribution strategy with promotion partners Anchor Blue (Ontario, Calif., subsidiary of Hub Distributing, operator of over 300 retail stores), EMI Recorded Music (New York, independent record company) and Sam Goody (Minnetonka, Minn., part of The Musicland Group, specialty retailer of prerecorded music and videos).

Reeve Store Equipment (Pico Rivera, Calif., store fixture and hardware supplier) has joined the voluntary Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorists (CTPAT) program administered by U.S. Customs. The company has set up a comprehensive security supply chain system involving the company, its overseas factories and U.S. Customs to secure its globally sourced products.

TSAO Designs LLC (Bridgeport, Conn., lighting systems manufacturer) has announced the development of a newly enhanced web site at www.tsaolighting.com. The redesigned site includes an overview of products, the company's mission statement and safety certifications, product warranties and on-line ordering of product catalogs and color chart.

Ardee Lighting (Shelby, N.C., lighting systems manufacturer, a subsidiary of the JJI Lighting Group) has unveiled a new logo to reflect the company's new direction and products. The new logo and color scheme of blue and gray is a refined, contemporary design, replacing the original logo featured red lettering and an encircled capital A.

Sea Gull Lighting (Riverside, N.J., lighting fixtures, lamps and accessories manufacturer) has announced its participation in the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star “Change a Light, Change the World” program. As a charter member, Sea Gull Lighting is drawing attention to Energy Star labeled lighting products, which meet specified energy efficiency and quality criteria.
