Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures Group appoints president; Junckers Hardwood Inc. enters distribution agreement; BHDP Architecture wins award

Management Changes:

Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures Group (Niles, Ill., store fixture designer and manufacturer) has named Dave Mueller president. Mueller previously served as president of Leggett & Platt's Edron facilities. In addition, the company has promoted Jeff Uhri to executive vp, sales for Leggett & Platt Store Fixture Group; and Randy Burkholder to president of Syndicate Systems, the Store Fixtures Group's largest manufacturing facility.

Martin Professional (Aarhus, Denmark, manufacturer of lighting equipment, speaker systems and Gem smoke machines) has added Tony Alhadeff as demand planning manager at its Martin U.S. division. Alhadeff is responsible for improving cross-functional communication within the organization.

MDI (Farmington Hills, Mich., visual merchandising, fixtures and signage manufacturer) has hired Steve Royster for the newly created position of vp, p-o-p sales and marketing.

Cowan & Associates (Columbus, Ohio, design firm) has appointed David Mullen director of engineering of its newly created mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering division. In addition, the firm has hired electrical designers Phoenix Loy and Michael Hawkins for the engineering division.

Royce Corp. (Orillia, Ont., merchandising display equipment manufacturer and designer) has hired Brenda Hurlburt to lead its business development-sales. Hurlburt is responsible for expanding the company's display business in the convenience store marketplace.

W.A.C. Lighting (Garden City, N.Y., lighting designer and manufacturer) has added Renee Cohen as specifications sales manager. Cohen is responsible for developing commercial lighting markets.

Corbin (Traverse City, Mich., graphic design firm) has made the following appointments to its leadership team: Jeff Corbin, founder and chairman; Mark VanderKlipp, president; Jim Harper, who oversees work processes; Robert Brengman, product development; Sheri Coohon, human resources; Rick Stringer, firm and client technology; and Carol Low, treasurer.

Mannington Commercial (Calhoun, Ga., flooring manufacturer) has made the following appointments: Sandy Butler, national business development manager for the corporate market segment and manager of environmental initiatives; Dave Thoresen, resilient director of sales and marketing; Phil Decker, southwest regional sales manager; and Andrew Walker, national business development manager for the retail market segment.

Business Briefs:

Junckers Hardwood Inc. (Anaheim, Calif., hardwood flooring manufacturer and distributor) and Hoboken Floors (Wayne, N.J., floor covering distributor) have entered into a distribution agreement whereby Hoboken has the exclusive rights to distribute Junckers products in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida.

BHDP Architecture (Cincinnati architectural firm) has awarded the 2002 Growth Award from the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce. BHDP was recognized for the firm's growth and its relocation of its main offices to downtown Cincinnati.
