Martin Professional appoints new staff members; Altman Lighting and High End Systems to partner; HLB

Management Changes:

Martin Professional (Aarhus, Denmark, manufacturer of computer-controlled entertainment lighting equipment, speaker systems and Gem smoke machines) has announced the following appointments: Henrik Sorensen, managing director of Martin Security Smoke, a fully owned subsidiary that produces and distributes computer-controlled equipment for smoke protection; Stig Holst, international sales director, entertainment; Thomas Fibaek Jensen, traded goods manager; and Nanna Mazanti Friborg, assistant product manager.

Landscape Forms Inc. (Kalamazoo, Mich., outdoor commercial furnishings designer and manufacturer) has added Lee Day, of Day 2 Agencies, as an international sales representative. Day will cover accounts in Toronto and all of Ontario.

Gemmar Systems Intl. Inc. (GSI, Montreal designer of advanced technology systems) has announced that Duck Head Apparel Co. has installed the GSI Retail-1 Suite of retail technology solutions to improve its service, data retrieval and analysis services.

Altman Lighting Inc. (Yonkers, N.Y., designer and manufacturer of theatrical, architectural and film and video lighting) has received a worldwide non-exclusive license for specific patents belonging to automated lighting manufacturer High End Systems Inc. (Austin, Texas). Also, High End Systems will receive non-exclusive rights to Altman's patents concerning digital stage and architectural lighting technology.

ExSel Exhibits (Niles, Ill., distributor of Nimlok Display and Exhibit Solutions) announced the induction of their president and ceo, Deborah Venable, into The Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. Venable became co-owner of ExSel Exhibits in 1997.

Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design, (HLB, New York lighting design firm) has created a free comprehensive online search engine, at www.elumit.com, for architects, interior designers, lighting designers, engineers. The site features product searches and specification information, as well as links to manufacturers and reps.
