Fashion designer Giorgio Armani will design the official off-field wardrobe for the England Football team for the next three years.

“Giorgio Armani is renowned as a leader in the world of fashion and I am delighted that we will be wearing his designs,” says England head coach Sven-Goran Eriksson.

Armani, president and ceo of the Armani Group (Milan), a fashion and luxury goods group, has dressed several Italian and English soccer teams. For the England team's first wardrobe, he has designed both formal and casual outfits, including suits, wool coats and Emporio Armani accessories, such as sunglasses, watches, belts, shoes and luggage.

“I am delighted and honored to be working with the England team as they are representatives of one of the world's great footballing nations,” says Armani. “It is also exciting to be designing for such a young and enthusiastic squad. Footballers today are the modern day gladiators — they have become icons both on and off the field.”
