IKEA (Delft, Netherlands) unveiled plans to help customers live in more environmentally friendly ways. Part of the efforts will include the repair and recycling of IKEA products.

The Guardian reports the retailer has also pledged to invest €1 billion in renewable energy and in helping poor communities adapt to the impacts of climate change. Additionally, all power in brand factories and stores will come from clean sources by 2020, and all light fixtures will use LEDs.

IKEA still plans to almost double sales by 2020, but intends to reassess the way the company impacts the environment.
