Contemporary design and clever problem solving are on display at the recently opened Unilux Group lighting showroom in Beirut. Michel Abboud, Soma Architects (New York), was tasked with highlighting light itself while working with the store’s narrow 13-foot depth. The room’s lighting provided different surfaces to play on, while the space serves as an entryway to the lower-level showroom, where lighting fixtures are displayed in a series of niches.
