Patricia Royak has been named president of Liz Claiborne Europe by Liz Claiborne Inc. (New York).

Royak, currently president of Liz Claiborne International Alliances, will lead the effort to grow the brand internationally, identifying growth opportunities for other brands in Europe and working closely with Mexx management on what the apparel designer and manufacturer calls “synergy and integration matters.” She will be based in Holland.

Assuming Royak's previous post will be Patricia Williamson, currently vp and general manager of Liz Claiborne Casual Petites.

Both will report directly to Jorge Figueredo, president of Liz Claiborne International.

“These appointments reflect Liz Claiborne's increasing international presence and will enhance the opportunity to achieve our growth plans in Europe and around the world,” Figueredo said.

Williamson joined Liz Claiborne Inc. in 1991 as an account executive, and has held various positions within the casual and petite divisions. She was promoted to her current position as vp and general manager for Casual Petites in 2001. Prior to joining Liz Claiborne, Williamson was a buyer at Bonwit Teller. She began her career in Abraham & Straus's executive training program.
