Micro Industries Unveils Ultra-Thin, Dual-Sided Interactive Digital Sign at GlobalShop 2014

MICRO INDUSTRIES UNVEILS ULTRA-THIN, DUAL-SIDED INTERACTIVE DIGITAL SIGN AT GLOBALSHOP 2014
First Truly Dual-sided Touchscreen of its Kind in the Industry

LAS VEGAS, NV, March 18, 2014– Micro Industries® today unveiled at GlobalShop 2014, its revolutionary Touch&Go Digital Lollipop55™, a new dual-sided 55-inch interactive portrait touchscreen in a skinny profile that is less than 2.4 inches thick overall. The ultra-thin profile encases the first truly double-sided touchscreen of its kind in the industry, offering interactivity on both sides at the same time. This unique, interactive digital signage is perfect for consumer use in department stores, malls, hotels, airports and other high-traffic areas.

The new design provides a sturdy, upscale and futuristic look. “The Touch&Go Lollipop 55P brings a new level of design and sophistication to interactive digital signage,” said Michal Curran, Micro Industries CEO. “The ultra-slim profile, coupled with a high level of performance and our innovative software platform, lets us offer one-stop shopping for almost any interactive, digital-signage application.” Each digital lollipop support single or multi-touch touchscreens simultaneously, using independent processors that separately drive the Touch&Go Dual Digital Lollipop operating system. To ensure minimal deflection of the screens when touched, the displays are encased in a metal frame securely fastened to the sturdy base suitable for high traffic areas. The 55P all-in-one computer supports a variety of options including 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 processors, Windows® operating systems, Micro’s patented cooling technology, wireless operation and a solid-state drive for reliable data storage. Integrated cameras positioned above each display on each side make it ideal for social media applications.

Pricing for the new system starts at $9950.

GlobalShop attendees are invited to interact with the Digital Lollipop in Booth #3841 in the POPAI section. They are welcome to see the entire product line in the Center for Interactive Retailing at Micro Industries facility in Columbus, Ohio.
