Mothers' Helper

Deborah Defusco has been promoted to vp, gmm, of the Mimi Maternity brand of Mothers Work Inc. (Philadelphia).

The former gmm of the retailer will continue to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of design, merchandising, marketing, sourcing and managing the business teams for the Mimi Maternity brand, but will now participate in new store opening initiatives, as well. She will report to executive vp David Mangini.

Defusco, who has been with Mothers Work since January 2001, had previously held merchandising management positions with Bloomingdale's (New York-based division of Federated Department Stores), Victoria's Secret (division of Columbus, Ohio-based Limited Brands) and John Wanamaker (former Philadelphia department store).
