New Top Man at Chico's

Chico's FAS Inc. (Fort Myers, Fla.) has promoted president and coo Scott Edmonds to ceo. Founder and previous ceo Marvin Gralnick will continue to serve as chairman.

Edmonds has been with Chico's since September 1993, starting as operations manager. He became vp, operations, in February 1994 and in 1996 was promoted to senior vp, operations.

He was named coo in February 2000 and president in September 2001.

Chico's operates 417 specialty stores under the names of Chico's and Pazo in 42 states and the District of Columbia, selling exclusively designed private-label women's clothing and related accessories.
