Pure + FreeForm Unveils Dynamic New Metal Finishes

New York, NY— June 2016 Pure+FreeForm, a bespoke metal company based in NYC that creates custom, solutions-based metal paneling systems, is proud to showcase their new Signature Series collection. The collection of 11 finishes range in color and feel, and can be applied to the company’s interior and exterior metal wall panel and ceiling systems.

Designed by founder Will Pilkington and Creative Director Geoffrey Hahn, many of the versatile finishes were inspired by the duo’s interest in reinterpreting other materials through metal. Channeling the vibrant brick red and cool sea blue undertones of terracotta, Neo Spritz is a saturated Aperol shade that brings warmth to a space despite its cold material. Taking this concept further, Sagg Shell is an elegant streaked, porcelain white shade inspired by seashells encountered on the beaches of Sagaponack, NY.

Each of the finishes is ideal for evoking a contextual experience in any hospitality, commercial, or contract setting. Additional finishes include:

·         Rusty StripeA stunningly unique finish with a gloss level gloss matte that provides dimensionality inspired by different rust colors of corten. Fresh and contemporary, the copper and silver pearl undertones bring this geometric interpretation of rust to life.

·         Urban CementThis super-matte finish showcases Pure + FreeForm’s new “exterior texture” technology while creating a beautiful grayscale cementitious color. Underlying silver pearl provides the appearance of traditional cement with the structural abilities of metal.

·         Frozen HairlineLayers of pearlized metallic zinc interlay with ultra fine hairlines of heather gray in this icy panel. A layer of color changing pearl ink allows the color to fluctuate based on light source from a pure frozen pearl to a dark gray.

·         Silvered WoodDeveloped to retrofit buildings in the suburbs of Tokyo, this avant garde finish crosses gelatin silvered photos with pearwood grain to create a “metallic wood”. Rose and yellow gold pearl offer amazing tones that reflect and diffuse light in ways not seen in natural metals.

·         Crystal Storm Reinterpreting a the sky before a storm, dark gray is highlighted with pearl and azure blue to provide tremendous depth. Depending on the time of day, the appearance varies from patinated gray metal to a galvanized blue.
