Sportmart

Lombard, IL

Distinguished in the sporting goods industry by its signature groupings of hardgoods and softgoods together into four worlds of sports, Sportmart is organized around a central concourse feature area. Suit Up (team sports), Lace Up (footwear), Burn It (workout) and Get Out (outdoors and camping) each are identified by huge graphic “billboards” and vertical pylons identified with the name of the section. Flooring throughout the store range from industrial diamond plate stainless steel in the concourse to hardwood in the basketball shop, rubber matting in workout, sisal carpeting in the golf club area and vinyl in footwear. Interactive elements include a “how high can you jump” pylon, virtual reality hole for golfing and swing analyzing station, educational in-line skating videos and a basketball court area.
