Dolce & Gabbana’s Miami Design District location is a showstopper

Mimicking a transparent curtain, the distinctive glass façade of Dolce & Gabbana’s Miami Design District location, is a showstopping sight. Inspired by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s love of the Teatro alla Scala  in Milan, the store’s interior is reminiscent of what one might find behind the scenes of a production.

Designed by Curiosity Inc. (Tokyo), its in-store collections are framed by walnut furniture, some with polished steel and others adorned in gold velvet; Baroque-style mirrors and recreations of famous, classic sculptures. Two floors are connected by floating travertine slabs; the upstairs ceiling is intentionally unfinished, providing the feeling of a backstage scene.
