Quizno's Subs upgrades Italian decor

Published

Quizno's Subs (Denver) has begun redesigning its restaurant interiors to reflect the next evolution of its Italian decor. With more than 1800 restaurants worldwide, the sandwich chain aims to remodel 100 stores by the end of the year and the remainder of its outlets by mid-2003.

The new look features a softer color palette with tones of terra cotta, blue and plum. Artwork will be modern, illustrative and whimsical, with the overall environment becoming more sophisticated.

“Quizno's new decor is a step up from the traditional fast-food restaurant,” says Stacie Lange, Quizno's spokesperson. “The design is an extension of the older store design, yet it is more contemporary, more stylish and more comfortable. Italians are known to be innovators of design, and our new store design is similar to what would be found in Florence or Milan.”

Along with the interior upgrades, the company, known for its oven-toasted sub sandwiches, is making changes to its menu. In addition, it is equipping its restaurants with ovens that have viewing windows so that guests can watch their subs toast.
