Bloomingdale's, the New York based division of Federated Department Stores (Cincinnati), has said that the opening of its new Home & Furniture Store in Chicago, in the refurbished Medinah Temple just off N. Michigan Avenue, has been postponed until February 2003. It will miss the 2002 holiday shopping season.

A Bloomingdale's spokeswoman confirmed to Crain's Chicago Business that construction delays caused the setback. The 330,000-square-foot home store was due to open in November.
