Casa Palacio sells contemporary and stylish home furnishings in its grand three-story glass and steel circular building. The interior, designed by The Pavlik Design Team (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), is just as striking, with an open layout featuring a central “great room” glass rotunda as the focal point.

Water falls down slabs of limestone in the centralized atrium, where escalators transport shoppers around the three-floor open layout. On each floor, exposed ceiling grids with floating panels maintain an airy feel.

Casa Palacio in Mexciso showcases contemporary furniture designs over three floors.

Designers colored the various rooms in the store with neutral hues, natural stone accents and ebony-stained wood floors with light marble.

The design earned Casa Palacio first place in its category – specialty store over 25,000 square feet – in the 2008 Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.) store design competition.

A variety of lighting techniques keeps the focus on the merchandise.

Each department features exposed ceiling grids with floating panels.

Throughout the space, designers blended ebony-stained wood floors with light marble.
