Amazon Celebrates 25th Anniversary

E-commerce behemoth Amazon (Seattle) celebrated its 25th anniversary on Friday, reports IB Times. Founded in 1994 under the original name “Cadabra Inc.”, the retailer initially operated out of current CEO Jeff Bezos’ garage as a bookseller.

In 2018, Amazon was named the largest online company in the world, boasting $524 billion in online sales and reportedly employs approximately 615,000 employees globally.
