Co-Founder | Nourish + Bloom Market
Jamie Michael Hemmings is a serial entrepreneur that began his journey in entrepreneurship after his son was diagnosed with autism. Unable to find healthy meals for his son, he co-founded Greenie Tots, the first line of healthy frozen meals based on traditional kids’ favorites using plant-based meats.
Jamie then went on to create two scheduling tech apps that supported the pharmaceutical and cannabis industries. His cannabis app Leaf Tyme was the first cannabis tech solution to be a finalist in the “Release It” competition at SXSW.
Finding himself in a food desert after moving to Georgia, Jamie combined all his efforts in tech and food to create the first black-owned, cashierless and checkout-free grocery store in the nation, and the first checkout-free grocery store in the southeastern United States called Nourish + Bloom Market.
Jamie is a nationally syndicated writer for Medium and Thrive Global. His current column is showcasing Black Men in Technology called Inspirational Black Men In T ech.
