Associate Provost & Dean of Academics | Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD)
Jennifer Schlueter is Associate Provost & Dean of Academics at Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD), where she develops and manages graduate degrees, as well as continuing studies programs for youth, adult enrichment, and professional certification, that emphasize innovative, self-sustaining approaches to lifelong learning that embrace industry expertise and eschew adherence to traditional curricular models. A seasoned and lauded teacher, Schlueter’s creative background is in theatre-making. Her works have been produced at venues like Little Theatre (Seattle), Cleveland Public Theatre, American Theater Company (Chicago), Kranzberg Center (St. Louis), Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus Museum of Art, Off Broadway at 59E59, and on BBC Radio 4. For her, the skills that she honed as a performance maker—in collaboration and storytelling, for example, as well as a commitment to wonder, delight and joy—ground her approach as an academic leader. She was named an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award winner in 2019.
